Teaching methodsAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English langua

5、ge. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange three kinds of activities: singing, guessi

6、ng game and having a competition. VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing. Ill finish this lesson in five steps.Step 1. Warm-up and preview1. Free talk between T and Ss about time.2. Sing the song together: Ten little candles dance.3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me your English book.

Review the numbers by asking: “How many crayons do you have?” Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some TPR and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.Step 2. 8、entationNow Ill mainly talk about this step. 1. Present the pattern: “What time is it?” “Itsoclock.Its time for”(1) Show a clock and say: “Look! I have a clock.” Point it and say: “What time is it?” Help the Ss understand the meaning with the help of my body language. (2) Look and say. Look at clock

9、 carefully and tell me “What time is it? Its ” Then check the answer.(3) Look at clock and say: “Its 4:50.”and so on. 2. Show some pictures to learn new words and sentences. It is necessary for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.
