There appears to be something the matter with her. 總結“appear”的用法：拓展：disappear.vi消失，失蹤4.Not only is he a keen gardener,he is also a fish collector. not only.but also 是英語中常見的一對連詞, 相當中文的“不僅而且”。下面將它的用法作一個歸納： A、not only but also 和兩個部分, 通常必須是對稱的并列成分。例如, 連接兩個主語、連接兩個狀語等等。 Not only Mr Lin but also his son joined the Party two years ago.不僅林先生而且他的兒子在兩年前都入了黨。(連接兩個主語) I not only play tennis but also practise shooting.我不僅打網(wǎng)球, 還練習射擊。 (連接兩個謂語動詞) He plays not only the piano but also the violin.他不僅彈鋼琴, 也拉提琴。 (連接兩個賓語) They speak English not only in class but also in the dormitory.他們不僅在課堂上說英語, 在宿舍里也說。(連接兩個地點狀語) 注意 ：下列句子是不規(guī)范的用法： He not only plays the piano but also the violin. 因為not only plays the piano 與 but also the violin 在語法結構上不對稱。 B、 not only 位于句首時, 該句的主語和謂語要部分倒裝。 Not only did he speak English correctly, but also he speaks it fluently.他不僅英語說的正確, 還說得流利。 Not only is this young man clever but also he is hardworking.這個小伙子不僅聰明, 也很勤奮。C、not only but also 連接兩個名詞作主語時, 謂語動詞要根據(jù)but also 后的名詞決定單、復數(shù)(就近原則)。例如：Not only the students but also the teacher was against the plan.不僅學生們, 還有那位老師都反對該項計劃。(the teacher was.)Not only the teacher but also the students were against the plan.不僅那位老師, 還有學生們 (the students were)D、在not only.but also 搭配中，可以省略also。例如：He was not only pelled to stay at home,( but ) also forbidden to see his friend.他不僅被近留在家里，還被禁止去看他的朋友。4.dare: dare可用實意動詞和情態(tài)動詞。用作情態(tài)動詞時，意思是“敢”，其后接動詞原形，通常只用于否定句或疑問句以及if或whether之后，一般不用于肯定句： Dare you tell her the truth? 你敢告訴她事實真相嗎? I dont know whether he dare try. 我不知他是否敢試一試。 I darent ask her for a rise. 我不敢要求她加薪。 【注】I dare say 是習慣說法(用于肯定句)，并不一定要譯為“我敢說”，它所表示的是一種不肯定的語氣，常譯為“很可能”、“大概”、“我想”等，有時用作反語： I dare say (that) you are right. 我想你是對的。 Oh, you mean to win? I dare say you will. 啊，你想打贏? 我且看你贏吧。 (2) dare用作實意動詞時意為“敢于”，可以有各種詞形變化，可用于各類句型(肯定句、否定句、疑問句及各類從句等)，其后多接帶 to 的不定式，有時 to 也可省去(尤其是在否定句或疑問句)等： We must dare to think, speak and act. 我們必須敢想、敢說、敢做。 I wonder how he dares (to) say such things. 我納悶他怎么竟敢說出這樣的話來。 Did he dare (to) tell her? 他敢告訴她嗎?
