The demand for higher level front-line talents will increase obviously, and it will be urgent to train a large number of professional talents with higher educational level. Therefore, familiar with the automobile steering system, skilled grasp of modern automobile steering system design, operation and maintenance of application of advanced technical personnel, become more scarce society, the most needed talents.</p><p> With the rapid development of the automobile industry, the structure of the steering device has also changed greatly. The design trend of modern automobile steering device is mainly to meet the needs of high speed vehicle, fully consider the safety, portability, low cost, low fuel consumption and mass production.</p><p> This paper expounds the fault of the various parts of the system function, composition, main structure, working principle, and possible steering, and puts forward the feasible scheme for the maintenance of the fault;
