2020年高考英語(yǔ)一輪復(fù)習(xí) 檢測(cè)題27

檢測(cè)題27. 閱讀理解A Batteries are included, but the chargers not. The Nokia E-Cu concept phone doesnt need to plug in; it charges from any heat source. Designer Patrick Hyland says it can even work off the warmth of your pocket. The first time“it would take approximately seven hours to reach full charge, then after that its continuously charging by keeping the phone in areas between 86 degrees and 104 degrees Fahrenheit. ”Thats one hot pocket.Hes put a thermo generator(熱偶發(fā)電器)inside the phone that transforms heat into electric potential energy. To better conduct the heat to that little power plant in your pocket, the E-Cu(E for energy, Cu for copper)is coated by copper backing with heat sinks like those normally used to keep electronics from overheating.Nokia doesnt have current plans to build the phone, so for now it remains a concept. But Hyland says hes open to anyone who wants to cooperate. For Americans this technology would certainly be convenient. It would also save a bit on energy bills and waste. “Annually, unwanted phone chargers produce 51, 000 tons of waste in addition to the greenhouse gases created by the production of the electricity needed to charge them, ”Hyland says. So a charger-free phone is also a green phone. Though adapting our plug-in habits would help a group of people, most cell phone related energy use comes from leaving your charger plugged in all day unnecessarily. The real potential for charger-free cell phone technology is what it could enable places where plugging in isnt an option, like rural areas in the developing world.Cell phones are spreading faster than power lines and bringing with them countless opportunities, aid and health advances. A phone like the E-Cu, if it ever comes to be, would enable all manner of expanded aid and development by phone projects. Lets hope Patrick finds a partner.【文章大意】本文介紹的是一種不用插入電源、在口袋里即可獲得電能的手機(jī)。1. What do we know about the E-Cu phone?A. It doesnt have a battery or a charger.B. It is properly marketed and sells well.C. Its continuously charging from any area.D. At your age you ought to be growing away from your parents. You should be learning to stand on your own feet. But take a good look at the present rebellion. It seems that teenagers are taking the same way of showing that they disagree with their parents. Instead of striking out boldly on their own, most of them are clutching(緊握)at one anothers hands for reassurance(安慰).They claim they want to dress as they please. But they all wear the same clothes. Then set off in new directions in music. But somehow they all end up with listening to the same record together. Their reason for thinking or acting in thus-and-such a way is that many people are doing it. They have come out of their cocoon(繭)into a larger cocoon. It has become harder and harder for a teenager to stand up against the popularity wave and go his or her own way. Industry has firmly carved out a teenage market. These days every teenager can learn from the advertisements what a teenager should have and be.And many of todays parents have come to award high marks for the popularity of their children. All this adds to a great barrier(障礙)for the teenager who wants to find his or her own path. But the barrier is worth climbing over. The path is worth following. You may want to listen to classical music instead of going to a party. You may want to collect rocks when everyone else is collecting records. You may have some thoughts that you dont care to share with your classmates at once, well, go to it. Find yourself. Popularity will come with the people who respect you for who you are. That is the only kind of popularity that really counts.【文章大意】本文鼓勵(lì)青少年要有自己獨(dú)立的思維, 不要依賴父母或隨波逐流。5. A man goes shopping because he needs something. His purpose is settled and decided in advance. 1All men simply walk into a shop and ask the assistant for what they want. If the shop has it in stock, the salesman immediately produces it and the business of trying it on takes place at once. 2Now how does a woman go about buying clothes? In almost every respect she does so in the opposite way. 3She has never fully made up her mind what she wants, and she is only“having a look around”. 4She will try on any number of things. The most important thing in her mind is the thought of finding something that everyone thinks suits her. She is always on the look-out for the unexpected bargain. Faced with a roomful of dresses, a woman may easily spend an hour going from one rail(掛衣桿)to another before selecting the dresses she wants to try on. It is a painful process for husbands, but obviously an enjoyable one for wives. 5A. Her shopping is not often based on need.B. Few men have patience with this treatment.C. So most dress shops provide chairs for the waiting husbands.D. He knows what he wants and his goal is to find it and buy it.E. For a man, slight problems may begin when the shop does not have what he wants.F. She is“always open to persuasion”; indeed she even takes seriously what the saleswoman tells her.G. Finally the deal is often completed in less than five minutes with hardly any chat and to everyones satisfaction.答案: 15. DGAFC
