Teaching methodsAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange three kinds of activities: singing, guessing game and having a competition. VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing. Ill finish this lesson in five steps.Step 1. PresentationNow Ill mainly talk about this step. 1. Present the pattern: “What time is it?” “Itsoclock.Its time for”(1) Show a clock and say: “Look! I have a clock.” Point it and say: “What time is it?” Help the Ss understand the meaning with the help of my body language. (2) Look and say. Look at clock carefully and tell me “What time is it? Its ” Then check the answer.(3) Look at clock and say: “Its 4:50.”and so on. 2. Show some pictures to learn new words and sentences. PracticeDivide Ss into groups of six children. Each one would finish the printed form by asking and answering1.Work in pairs. What time is it?
