The contents, which have been revised, are:1. Raising rust-removing grade for steel materials surface for a longer using life of anticorrosive coating.2. Classifying corrosion degree jointly using methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis3. Increasing quantitative control of total thickness of anticorrosive coating4. Increasing or cutting kinds of normal coating and their complete performances5. Enhancing monitoring and controlling for coating product quality, perfecting controlling of coating process application6. General1.0.1 The Specification applies to coating anticorrosion for exterior surface of steel equipment, piping and their accessory steel structure in petrochemical industry.The Specification is not suitable for outside surface coating anticorrosion of equipment and piping having surface temperature exceeding 500°C.Surface of equipment and piping and coating anticorrosion for long transfer piping are not included in the specification.1.0.2 When the specification being carried out, it should be done according to the current related mandatory standards specification.2. Expression, Terms2.0.1 Coating Total name of a kind of liquid or solid material used in coating object surface forming solid coating film having functions of protecting, trimming or other special qualities (e.g.insulation, anticorrosion etc.).In names of concrete coating varieties, “Paint” can be used to prefer to “coating”, such as anticorrosive paint, acid-resisting paint, etc.2.0.2 Paint filmContinuous film formed by coating object surface uniformly using paint, consisting of one or several coating layers.2.0.3 Varnish A kind of paint not having coloring agent, usually used as top coat forming transparent paint film having protection, trimming and other special functions.2.0.4 Enamel A kinds of paint forming hard and flush and smooth paint film usually similar to enamel in appearance after coating.2.0.5 Priming coatA kind of paint used directly to coat steel surface for multi-layer coating2.0.6 Surface A kind of paint used to correct non plain primer surface for multi-layer using.2.0.7 Intermediate coat Intermediate coat existing between surface and top coat having its main function of increasing thickness of anticorrosion coating layer and being able to bind with both priming coat and top coat.2.0.8 Top coat Top coat used to coat uppermost layer for multi-layer coating, needed one or two courses generally. 2.0.9 Adherend Adhernd mainly includes welding slag, spatters, solubal salt, oil and fat, soil, oxide layer, rust, aged coating ,etc. 2.0.10 Covering power Give one course of coating uniformly on object surface till the surface completely being covered without showing original state, now the gram of used paint called as masking power, unit: g/m2.2.0.11 Adherence Adherence means firmness of binding painting film and coated material through physical and chemical reaction of force on the surface of these two substance. Generally expressed as “grade”.2.0.12 Slightly soluble medium Slightly soluble medium means medium of alkali and salt having solubility of less than 2g/L in water at the temperature of 20.2.0.13 Soluble medium Soluble medium indicating medium of alkali and salt having solubility of equal or more than 2g/L in water at the temperature of 20.2.0.14 Slightly hygroscopic mediumSlightly hygroscopic medium means medium of alkali and salt having relative equilibrium moisture equal to or of more than 60% at the temperature of 20.2.0.15 Hygroscopic medium Hygroscopic medium means the medium of alkali and salt having relative equilibrium moisture of less than 60% at the temperature of 20.3. Design3.1 General specification3.1.1 Selecting point should obey the following rules: Conforming to operating conditions of object to be coated. Conforming to material quality of object surface coated. Well-matching of various layers paints Safe reliability, economic rationality. Satisfying essential requirements of construction.3.1.2 Surface of equipment, piping and their accessory steel structures, which are made of carbon steel and lean alloy should be paint-coated.3.1.3 Priming coat of adherence grade measured according to the current national standard “Measurement of Paint Film Adherence” GB/T1720 ought to be used as priming coating on steel materials surface.3.1.4 Except other design stipulated standard, coating should not be done under the following conditions: Surface of austenite stainless steel Galvanized surface Polished surface Plastic-coated surface or chameleon paint-coated surface Name plate, marking plate or docket 3.1.5 Standstill equipment, piping and their accessory steel structures made by manufactures are required to be coated with priming coat, according to design specification.3.1.6 The followings should be coated in fabricating yard: Equipment, piping and their accessory steel structures set-up in fabricating yard. Equipment, piping and their accessory steel structures, which have been coated with priming coat in manufacturing factories and need being shaved as well as coated with top coat in fabricating yard. Grade C- surface of steel material, on which oxide skin partly flaking off or being able to be scraped out caused by rusting, and a small amount of corrosive pitting happened. Grade D- surface of steel material, on which oxide skin completely flaking off caused by rusting, and an overall corrosive pitting happened.3.2.3 Rust-removing grades of steel material are divided into four grades, they are: St 2- thorough hand and power tool rust-removing.No visible grease and dirt or no adherend of loosen oxide skin, rust, paint skin ,and etc. on surface of steel material. St 3- extreme thorough hand and power tool rust-removing No visible grease and dirt or no adherend of loosen oxide skin, rust, paint skin ,and etc. on surface of steel material.This kind of rust- removing should be done more thoroughly than St 2, surface of ground exposure part ought to have metal brightness. Sa 2- thorough injection or slinging rust- removingNo visible grease and dirt on surface of steel material, adherend of oxide skin, rust and paint skin ,and etc. have been basically removed, the residue could be firmly adherent.
