· SP20-60大約3000RPM(取決于挖掘機油的流動性)
Movax

1. INTRODUCTION
Movax sheet-piler is unique because of its side-grip. The side-grip allows you to work in places( tunnels, under bridges, under power-lines, and generally wherever the space above the pile is limited) where other competitors can’t. By using Movax you can drive even 12 meter long piles with normal excavator.
Read this instruction manual conscientiously with thought, to understand what is allowed and safe when using Movax. In this manual you will also find useful hints from other users.
Because of the constant research and development performed on Movax, it has been changing during the years and will continue to change in the future.
When ordering spare parts for Movax always make sure to inform the serial number, type and all the possible changes that have been done on your Movax. This insures you will receive the correct spare parts. Some parts on the automatics have their own serial-numbers and version-numbers. You should also note them when ordering parts for it.
To safely get the maximum benefit from your Movax, please pay attention to all safety precautions mentioned in this manual.
Only an operator trained by a Movax manufacturer or distributor is allowed to drive a Movax. After training, the operator must pass a test (see chapter 11.). After passing the test, the operator will receive the operator’s certificate.
This is also a condition of warranty (see especially chapter 10.).
The operator’s certificate is a separate document given to an operator after the training.
1.1 During transportation
· Disconnect the cable B from the display because the computer inside the cab might get damaged if the excavator touches power lines during the transportation
1.2 When welding excavator / Movax or the pile
· Turn off the computer and disconnect the cable B from the monitor before welding
1.3 Protecting connectors
· After disconnecting, protect the connector from impurities and see that the power line of the display does not short circuit
· The display has to be turned off before disconnecting cables
· Protect all hydraulic connectors and hoses while they are disconnected so that dirt cannot enter the hydraulic system
2. HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND FUNCTION
2.1 Jaws
· All jaws move at the same time
· Close during the vibration
· When using the 4th jaw, pay special attention because it opens when other jaws close
· Caution: Only one button is needed to drop a pile from the 4th jaw
2.2 Tilt cylinder
· Tilting angle ±30°
· Always use tilt floating while vibrating. Driving automatically with Auto II, software version 2.86 or later one will automatically activate tilt floating after the pile has been driven 0,5 meters down.
2.3 Vibra-motor
· SP 20 - 60 about 3000 RPM (depending on the oil flow of the excavator)
· SPH 80 about 4000 RPM
· Needed oil flow depends on Movax Model. Do not exceed oil flow (see table 3, page 21).
· NOTE: SPH 80 also has a leak line and it should be connected first and disconnected last to protect motors
CAUTION! The max oil flow of the SPH 80 is 240 l/min. Exceeding the max oil flow voids the warranty.
2.4 Swing motor
· Uses worm gear to rotate Movax. Due to rotary joint, the rotation angle is unlimited
2.5 Lock cylinder (ONLY SP 40 – 60)
· Use when lifting long heavy piles ( over 8m )
· With the lock cylinder, the Movax becomes one with the U-frame and the absorbing rubbers are no longer carrying all the weight of the pile. Lock cylinder connects the vibrating part to the U- frame
· Disengage the lock cylinder, when the pile is in vertical position
· The hydraulic system disengages the lock cylinder automatically when vibrating, However, it might not open, if you press Movax firmly with the boom. Always verify that the lock (see pictures 14,15) is disengaged before vibrating.
· Remember to engage the lock before gripping onto a pile longer than 8m. The locking is always to be done manually (see chapter 5).
· The warranty will lapse, if piles longer than 8m, are lifted without locking the lock cylinder
· SPH 80 does not have a lock cylinder, but includes more absorbing rubbers. Safe pile weight is 1000 kg
NOTE! If you remove the 4/2 valves above U-frames (for cleaning), be sure to refit them on same places and in same way as they were. If you open the valves which control the jaws and the lock cylinder, note that the grinded ends of the spools of the valves must point towards the rotary joint. Otherwise the frame lock does not open and jaws are not locked during the vibration.
2.6 Starting Movax when the temperature is below 0°C
· Note that the oil is thick when cold (very high return pressure)
· Never vibrate when the oil temperature is “freezing”, because it will damage the hydraulic motors and shaft-seals.
· Heat up the hydraulic oil following the excavator's manufacturer instructions. When the oil temperature is about 20°C, start vibrating with low RPM's (without pile). Vibrate for 3 – 5 minutes to warm up the oil in Movax and the hydraulic system
3.SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARRANTY CONDITIONS
3.1. Safety instructions for operator
Movax SP models can lift and transfer the pile in different ways, as explained below.
Lifting a pile from the ground.
The lifting is possible using the side grip, end grip, and with some sheet pilers using the 4th jaw.
3.1.1 End grip (3rd jaw)
CAUTION! Never lift a pile into a vertical position with end grip without a safety
chain (see pictures 1 and 2).
The pile must be firmly on ground before taking a grip from the end of the pile.
Picture 1. Picture 2.
The pile must be firmly on ground before changing the grip.
Do not open the jaws, if there is a danger of pile slipping or falling.
3.1.2 Lifting with the 4th jaw (see picture 3)
A) Check that NOBODY is in the working area.
B) Lift the pile max 0.5m from the ground, avoid hitting the pile against
anything. Strong hit will break the 4th jaw bolts and cause the pile to drop.
Picture 3 Lifting with 4th jaw Picture 4 Handling a pile using the side-grip
3.1.3 Side-grip – inside the pile (see picture 4)
A) Check that nobody is in the working area
B) Take grip inside the pile in the middle and press “close jaws” button for 2-3 seconds to ensure that you have a firm grip of the pile.
mm
C) Don’t hit the pile against anything.
3.1.4 Side-grip – from the side of the pile (see picture 5)
Note the following safety precaution:
Never lift a pile without a safety chain when gripping it from the side.
Picture 5 Unsafe way to lift a pile Picture 6 Incorrect way to grip a pile
3.2 Special Warranty Conditions
1.Every Movax operator must have operator’s certificate.
(See more on chapters 1, 10 and 11)
2. Start up –procedure must be carried out according to the instructions.
(See more on chapter 2.6.)
3. Movax should always be used at correct vibration RPM and working pressure
(See more on chapters 4.3, 4.4 and table on page 22.)
4. BEARING TEMPERATURE SHOULD N EVER EXCEED 90 - 100oC
5. Vibra-house oil quantity and quality must be correct (See more on chapter 12.1)
6. The first oil-change must take place no later than after 20 hours.
4. BASIC INSPECTION BEFORE OPERATION
4.1 Check the oil level
· Level the Movax using the angle sensors (Movax x = 0° Movax y = 0°)
· The oil level must be between the first quarter from bottom and bottom in the oil sight glass (see pictures 7,8). Using more oil than recommended, will decrease the performance of your Movax
Picture 8 (too high oil level,May cause overheating ! )
· SPH 80 see page 24 for location of oil sight glass
4.2 Check for cracks and leaks
· Ensure that maintenance service is done. (oil change, lubrication)
· Check for any leaks or damage to the hoses.
· Check the grip pads. They must have more than 50% of teeth left (see chapter 12.4)
· Check carefully all welded seams / steel plates for cracks
· ALL CRACKS MUST BE REPAIRED BEFORE ANY USE OF MOVAX!
· Check and tighten loose bolts and hydraulic fittings
· Note! Always clean the bolts and hydraulic fittings carefully and use locking glue before tightening the bolts.
· Check the electric wires (cables) and connectors for any damage.
· Check visually the absorbing rubbers.
4.3 Check the tankline
Make sure that the pressure and tank hoses (in SPH 80 also the leak line) are in correct order. If the excavator’s pipeline for separate devices has on / off valves or a separate tap, BE ABSOLUTELY SURE, THAT THE TANK LINE IS OPEN! USING MOVAX WHILE TANK LINE IS CLOSED WILL CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGES TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ? ESPECIALLY THE MOTORS.
Drive out the air from the hydraulic system after changing hoses or other items that introduce air into the system. It is done by vibrating for 10 – 15 seconds. Note! Vibrating does not purge the air out from the cylinders and rotation hoses (see chapter 8). Before gripping a pile check all movements carefully.
4.4. Check the oil-flow and pressure of the excavator
Check the oil-flow and pressure every 750 – 1000 hours. (See page 22.)
A) When driving into soft ground, use lower RPM of the excavator’s engine, but make always sure that the Movax vibra-motor is running smoothly. (Do not let the vibra-motor to resonate).
B) When driving into hard ground, use higher RPM and thus higher oil-flow. Make sure that the vibra-motor is running smoothly. However, never run Movax at too high Vibra RPM.
Note: 30 % lower oil-flow can lead to severe resonation, which in turn can lead to:
- Increased bearing temperature
- Bearing failure
- Vibra-shaft breakdown
-
5. LIFTING A PILE INTO VERTICAL POSITION
A) Before gripping a pile with the jaws, check that the pile and Movax are parallel (see picture 9).
B) Before lifting, make sure that the jaws are inside the pile (see picture 10).
C) Push the "close jaws" button for 2 - 3 seconds to ensure that the max jaw force is applied.
D) Lift the pile a little from the ground (see picture 11)
