The gear hobbing machine, as one of the most important way to machinegears, is widely used. As the development of seience and teehnology, the maehining preeision beeome higher and higher. In hobbing machine, its rotary table is an important part influencing its machining preeision and stiffess of greatly. Hence, by means of optimizing analysis, strengthening the stiffness of hobbing machine is one effective way to improve its machining precision.This paper introduced the principle of gear hobbing and the overall structure of Y3150E type hobbing machine, and the Y3150E type hobbing machine rotary table was designed. The worm drive makiing ratory table working is designed. Besides, the worm shaft strength was checked and the bearing installate on this worm shaft was analyed.Key words: hobbing machine; principle of gear hobbing; rotary table; worm drive
